Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Subscription Stopper app ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information. The App is developed and maintained by Juyana Islam ("the Developer"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Subscription Stopper is built privacy-first. The App does not link to your bank, does not connect to your email, and does not require you to create an account. Your subscription data lives on your device and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud account — never on our servers.

1. Summary

  • We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
  • We do not ask for bank credentials, card numbers, or email login.
  • Your subscription information is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework.
  • If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). We have no access to it.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple and our payments partner RevenueCat; we never see your payment card details.
  • You can permanently delete all of your data from within the App at any time.

2. Information You Provide

The App only stores the information you enter yourself, which may include:

  • Subscription names, prices, billing cycles, renewal dates, categories, icons, and notes.
  • Optional reminder preferences.
  • Currency and display preferences.

If you choose to import a bank or card statement, the statement file is processed entirely on your device to detect possible subscriptions. The file is not uploaded to us or any third party. You decide what to save.

We do not require your name, email address, phone number, or any account registration to use the App.

3. How Your Information Is Stored

  • On-device storage. All subscription data is stored locally on your device in a Core Data database.
  • iCloud Sync (optional). If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your data is mirrored to your personal, private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit so it can sync across your devices. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is accessible only to you through your Apple ID. The Developer cannot access your iCloud data.
  • Widgets. The App shares subscription data with its home-screen widget on the same device through a private App Group container. This data does not leave your device.

We do not operate any server that receives or stores your subscription data.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, the App does not:

  • Connect to your bank, credit card provider, or any financial institution.
  • Access your email, Gmail, or any messaging account.
  • Read your contacts, photos, or location.
  • Track you across other apps or websites.
  • Sell or rent your information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscription Stopper offers an optional paid "Premium" upgrade — available as a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase — through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

  • Payments are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment card information.
  • We use RevenueCat to manage and validate purchase entitlements (for example, to confirm whether you have an active Premium subscription). RevenueCat may process a non-identifying app user identifier and purchase/receipt information for this purpose. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
  • Managing, renewing, or cancelling a paid subscription is handled through your Apple ID account settings.

6. Notifications

If you enable renewal reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated on-device and are not sent through any external server.

7. Third-Party Services

The only third parties involved in the App's operation are:

We do not integrate advertising SDKs or third-party analytics that track individual users.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Delete your data. You can permanently erase all subscription data stored by the App using the "Delete All Data" option in Settings. This action cannot be undone.
  • Disable iCloud Sync. You can turn iCloud Sync off at any time in Settings. To remove data already synced to iCloud, you may also manage app data through your device's iCloud settings.
  • Uninstall. Removing the App deletes its local data from that device.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Because we do not collect or hold your personal data on our own servers, most such requests can be satisfied directly by you through the controls above. 9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be communicated within the App. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
