Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Subscription Stopper mobile application ("the App"), developed and maintained by Juyana Islam ("the Developer", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The Service
Subscription Stopper is a personal-finance utility that helps you manually track and manage your recurring subscriptions. The App lets you record subscriptions, view renewal dates, receive optional reminders, and see spending insights.
The App is an organizational tool only. It does not connect to your bank, does not make payments on your behalf, and does not cancel subscriptions for you. Any action to cancel, change, or pay for a third-party subscription must be taken by you directly with that provider.
2. License to Use
Subject to these Terms, the Developer grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where permitted by law.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
3. Free and Premium Plans
The App offers a free tier and an optional paid "Premium" upgrade.
- Free tier. Lets you track a limited number of subscriptions and use core features at no cost.
- Premium. Unlocks additional features, which may include unlimited subscription tracking, statement import, receipt scanning, iCloud sync, multi-currency support, CSV export, and advanced insights. Premium is offered as a recurring weekly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase.
We may change the features included in the free or Premium tiers over time.
4. Purchases, Billing, and Renewals
- Premium is sold as an in-app purchase processed by Apple through your Apple ID.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The weekly and yearly plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. They automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase and does not auto-renew.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your device's App Store account settings at any time.
- Where offered, any free trial period unused at the time of purchasing a subscription will be forfeited.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's policies. The Developer cannot directly issue refunds for App Store purchases. Refund requests should be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Your Data and Responsibility
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the App.
- Your subscription data is stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud Sync, in your private iCloud account. The handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for maintaining backups. Deleting the App or using the "Delete All Data" feature may permanently remove your data, and this cannot be undone.
6. No Financial Advice
The App provides spending summaries and insights for informational and organizational purposes only. This content does not constitute financial, accounting, tax, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Always verify renewal dates and charges directly with your subscription providers and financial institutions.
7. Accuracy of Information
While we strive to make the App reliable, subscription detection (including any statement import or receipt scanning features) may be incomplete or inaccurate. The App may not capture every subscription or charge, and reminders depend on your device settings and the information you provide. You should not rely on the App as your sole record of your financial obligations.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, branding, and content (excluding the data you enter), is owned by the Developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of defects.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or savings, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App — including any missed cancellation, charge, or renewal — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer's total liability for any claim relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services including Apple (App Store, iCloud/CloudKit, StoreKit) and RevenueCat for purchase management. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the Developer's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
